Glycolic acid is the first member of Alfa hydroxy acid family of carboxylic acid. Its unique properties make it ideal for spectrum of consumer & industrial applications.
Glycolic acid and its derivatives are used commercially in leather tanning and textile dyeing; as a flavoring agent and preservative in food processing, water treatment industries; pH control; and chemical intermediates as well as in household, industrial, electronics cleaning application. Glycolic acid can be used to wash high-pressure stainless steam boiler heat exchanger, printed circuit board, copper ware or copper alloy casting, brick materials, equipments for dairy products, etc.. additive in many fields, such as cosmetic, metalworking, electro- plating, electro polishing, printing. Applications They are also used in emulsion polymers, solvents and ink and paint additive to improve flow properties and impart gloss.
